Ellbee is AWESOME!  She came to her foster mom at just about 4weeks old with both eyes very infected and swollen. Her sight was very restricted to possible shadows.  The doctor gave us 3 very strong antibiotics to see if we could salvage her sight.  But alas after approximately 3 weeks it was determined better to remove both infected orbs.  So she had surgery with a rather quick recovery. Her foster mom began working with her to help her "see" her way around. We are happy to say that now at almost 7mos old she navigates very well to the point that she has recently master up and down 13 stairs! She does not look at herself as being special needs, she just needs a very, very special home!
