River had been hanging around a neighborhood in Mt. Clemens for about a month or so according to the kind lady who called us asking us to rescue her.  Even though we were full, her story tugged at our hearts and we made it possible to bring her into the Rescue.  Imagine our surprise when, after vetting her, it was noted she was microchipped.   We contacted the former owner and River's rescue became even more bizarre.  Seems she had gotten into a U Haul truck leaving Connecticut and arrived in the Clinton Twp. area where she was taking in by a Rescue operating out of Pet Supplies Plus.  She had been adopted in November 2017 and, according to the adopter, "got out of the carrier and ran away" before he could get her into the house.  The former owner said he didn't know how to contact the PetLink site to report her missing and has decided to let us rehome her.  If your home is ready for one of the sweetest cats we've taking in, then River should "run through it!" She is a beauty!
