Lillie was found the winter of 2015/16 abandoned in a bush. A few days later another cat we believe was her sibling was found in same area. She has the most beautiful green eyes and the sweetest personality. She adores attention and will come when she is called to rub all over your legs. New people are a special treat to her because that means that she gets extra pets! We are not sure how she is with other animals, however when she came in contact with a dog, she was guarded & curious, but did not run and hide. She and her sibling both tested positive for FIV antibody. Cats with FIV or Feline Aids can live a long full life. It is Not contagious and Cannot be transferred to dogs or humans. FIV positive cats that live indoors in a stress-free home- need annual vet visits like all other cats, and can live many years without even reaching a chronic stage. Her main issue now is to continue losing weight to help maintain her health. She is very proud that she has lost 1/2 pound since being with her new foster. But she would rather have her purrfect home where she can thrive on your attention. For additional information on FIV the following websites are very informative: http://www.catster.com/lifestyle/cat-health-vet-study-fiv-positive-cats-living-together and http://www.fivcatrescue.org/fiv-myths.html .
